UV mapping is a 2D map unwrapped of the 3D model. The UVs define where parts of a 2D image texture will appear on a 3D mesh. This menu contains features related to the placement of image textures on objects.
Triplanar Mapping
Applies a texture map across an object’s surface in 3 directions. This helps avoid visible seams or stretching that might occur with traditional UV mapping. Use this for static models where you have not had time to unwrap the UVs.
Facet Shading
Displaces a faceted look for each polygon of the object. Achieves a flat, geometric appearance without changing the model itself.
Offset
Moves the textures along the surface.
Rotation
Rotates the material’s position around the object’s surface.
Tiling
Repeats image textures applied to the surface to edit the scale. *Note this only will work if a Diffuse texture is also loaded.
