The BRIO Light Set Library contains template lighting arrangements to help you find the right style for your scene.
What is a light set?
The Light Set is a group of all the lights in a BRIO scene, including all studio lights as well as the sky light. Studio lights are listed in the objects panel as part of the Light Set group. These are the lights you can see on your canvas, such as a direct light.
The sky light can only be viewed and edited in the Light Set properties panel. It is generated using an HDR image and simulates light from an external environment.
When you select the "Light Set" group in the objects panel, the properties panel will allow you to view and edit all of the lights in the current set.
Add light sets from the BRIO Library
The BRIO Light Set library has a variety of pre-arranged light sets you can apply to your scene. Using Light Sets from the library will save you time when positioning your lights, and allow you to try out different lighting styles quickly.
To view the BRIO Light Set Library, open the library tab and select "Light Sets" from the dropdown menu. You can also select "View Light Presets" at the bottom of the library panel.
Select a light set to apply it to your scene. Applying a light set from the library will replace all lights currently in your scene.
Edit the light set
To edit the Light Set, select the Light Set group from the objects list. Selecting the group will allow you to view and edit properties of all the lights in the set at once.
In the Light Set Properties panel, you can adjust settings like intensity and colour, and change the HDR used for the environmental light.
You can also move and rotate studio lights manually.
Save custom light sets to your library
You can save custom light sets to your library to easily apply them again in future projects.
To save your Light Set, select the "light set" group from the objects list. At the top of the properties panel, you'll see the Current Light Set information. Select "Add to Library".
To rename your custom light set, select the options menu next to the current name and thumbnail.
