Augmented Reality allows your audience to view objects in their own space.
Prepare your scene for AR
Review BRIO's Augmented Reality Tips and Tricks to learn how to set up your scene for AR.
Make sure your object is positioned and scaled correctly for AR viewing, and ensure that your scene meets the technical requirements for Augmented Reality performance.
If your scene contains any objects that should be hidden in AR, select the object and turn off AR visibility in the properties panel.
Set AR publishing options
Select Render Setting in the left side menu. Make sure that "BRIO RT" is the selected render engine. Ultra Render is not intended for mobile performance, and should not be used for AR scenes. The render setup options only apply to the 3D view of your scene - the AR view will not be affected.
Edit the embed frame size if you plan to embed the scene on a website.
Select AR layout
In the right-side panel, under Player Interface options, Select AR. This will remove VR options and add a more prominent AR button, labelled "View In Your Space".
Under the Branding menu in the left-side menu, select a colour mode that is visible on your scene's background.
Preview AR View
You can preview your scene in AR before publishing. Select the AR button in the preview window. This will open a QR code you can scan to view the scene in AR.
Publish, Share and View
Open the Share Panel
Click the Share button on the top right corner of the interface to open the sharing options.
NOTE: Since BRIO hosts all your scene data and traffic, to unlock sharing you must be subscribed to a plan.
BRIO will generate a link to the scene player, well as a code for embedding the scene on your website or e-commerce store.
Open the link to view the published scene. Select "View in Your Space" to switch to AR mode on compatible devices, or to access the QR code to scan with your phone.
Make sure you're in a well-lit space. The AR render engine on your phone will use the light in your space to calculate shadows and colour vibrance for your model.
Once your object is placed on the ground in AR, you can use your fingers to move, rotate, and resize it.
Present the BRIO AR Scenes on Your Website
You can embed published BRIO scenes to your website or e-commerce store, and your viewers will be able to access the same AR experience.
