Learn steps and best practices for importing 3D models into BRIO.
BRIO allows you to build 3D scenes using your own models as well as a built-in library of additional objects. In this series of lessons, we’ll import a single model, edit it, and present in BRIO.
1. In the tools menu, click the upload button and select 3D model. Select the model from your file browser and click open.
BRIO is compatible with most common 3D file formats, including .GLTF .FBX, and .OBJ.
2. Check the performance guide
When you upload a model, the performance guide will appear with tips for optimizing your model for better performance on mobile, desktop, AR and VR devices. You can find out more about optimizing models here.
Depending on your model's performance, you may need to go back and optimize it on your native design software. If your model is already optimized, select CLOSE.
Depending on the units of measure used in your native design software, you may be prompted to scale down your model before starting. Learn more here.
