Brio’s built-in library is equipped with high-quality materials, objects, camera shots and light sets available for all users to enjoy. With over 200 preset options to choose from and the ability to save your own creations within the library, your imagination will be your only boundary.
The library can be accessed by clicking on the library tab on the left-hand side of the screen. Relevant libraries can also be accessed from the properties panel when the camera or light set is selected, and from the materials tab when an object is selected.
The library is organized into four sections:
This is where you can find materials for your objects. To change the material of the object, select an object, go into the library tab, and locate the material section. Then select OPEN BRIO MATERIALS to expand the material tab and change the material by selecting and dragging onto the desired object. It might take a few seconds to load.
You can personalize the material of each object in the Materials tab on the right side of the screen using the settings. If you want to save these changes as a material in your library, you can select the three-button option next to your material at the top of the tab. Next, select the “add to library” button. You will now be able to use this specific material setting for any object that you want through your library automatically.
This is where you can find objects that you can use in your scene. To insert an object from the library into your scene go to the library tab and locate the object section. Then select the “more” button to expand the tab. When you find an object, simply click on it to bring it into your scene.
This is where you can find preset camera shots. To use a camera shot in your scene, go to the library tab and locate the camera shot section. Then select the “more” button to expand the tab. When you find the camera shot you want, simply click on it to bring it into your scene.
If you want to customize your camera shot and save it for future use, select the main camera, go to the top of the properties tab under the current shot section and click on the blue button that reads “add to library”. You can now find this customized camera shot in the camera shot library under “My Camera Shots”.
This is where you can find preset light sets. To use a light set, go to the library tab and locate the light set section at the bottom of the tab. Then select the “more” button to expand the tab. When you find the light set you want to use, click on it to bring it into your scene. You can see what settings are applied in that light set by going to the object tab and observing the types of lighting underneath the light set tab. If you select the light set tab under the object tab you can adjust the settings on the right side of the screen.
If you want to save your customized light set for future use, select the desired light set, go to the top of the top of the tab on the right side of the screen, and click on the blue button that reads “add to library”. You can find this customized camera shot in the light set library under “My Light Sets”.
If you have a busy scene with multiple lighting settings, you can easily organize the colour of the lighting icon in the field. First, locate and select the lighting icon that you can to colour code. On the right side of the screen, you will find under “Colour Options” a colour section that you can click on to expand the colour picker and customize the lighting icon.
